Day 8 of Fictional Band February: Plavalaguna!
So, the Fifth Element has a lot of things that I love and it’s a great movie and you all should watch it if you haven’t. But the number one thing that’s memorable to me is Plavalaguna, “the Diva.”
The other thing is, of course, Ruby Rhod.
But anyway! Plavalaguna! She looks great and sings well, too. She actually gets two songs in the movie. The first is ‘Il Dolce Suono’ from the opera Lucia di Lammermoor but quickly gets technofied and turns into the song I posted today, The Diva Dance. It’s neat!
The Diva was played by Maïwenn Le Besco and her singing was done by Inva Mulla Tchako.
Fun Fact! Plava Laguna means ‘blue lagoon’ in Bosnian, Croatian, Slovene, and Serbian
